Venue of Joy Investments (Pty) Ltd (“Venue of Joy”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information with care. This policy applies to visitors to our website, clients who enquire about our services, and individuals who apply to join our team of hospitality staff.

Venue of Joy Investments (Pty) Ltd is a professional hospitality staffing company based in Johannesburg, South Africa. We supply experienced waiters, bartenders, chefs, hostesses, wine stewards, cleaners, set-up staff and event support teams for corporate events, private functions, weddings, catering companies and hospitality venues.

For the purposes of POPIA, Venue of Joy is the Responsible Party for the personal information we collect and process.

When you enquire about our services, request a quote, or contact us via our website, WhatsApp, email or phone, we may collect:

  • Your name and, where relevant, your company name
  • Contact details (phone number, WhatsApp number, email address)
  • Event details (date, location, type of event, number of guests)
  • The type of staff you require
  • Any additional information you choose to share in your message

Information from prospective staff

If you apply to work with Venue of Joy, we may collect additional information such as:

  • Your full name, ID number and contact details
  • CV, work history and references
  • Qualifications and relevant experience
  • Availability and preferred work areas
  • Banking details, once engaged, for payment purposes

Information we collect automatically

We use your personal information to:

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Some of the service providers we use (for example, cloud-based email or analytics services) may process information outside of South Africa. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected to a standard comparable to POPIA.
